Garbage Truck Coloring Pages
How To Use Our Coloring Pages
Turn your garbage truck coloring pages into crafts that showcase the work of the men and women who help keep our neighborhoods clean. These themed activities help kids get creative while learning about trash collection, recycling, and protecting our earth.
Recycling Sorting Game
Use the Garbage Truck in the Neighborhood sheet for this activity. Show kids the two trash cans on the page: one for recycling and one for trash. Draw or use stickers to add three simple items on the page, like a juice box, a napkin, and a soda can. Ask kids to draw a line from the object to which bin the trash goes in.
Trash-to-Treasure Collage
Use only scrap materials to “color” your coloring page. These can be bits of paper, foil, bottle caps, or other would-be trash ready for the bin.
Trash Truck Toss Game
Cut out on of the garbage trucks from the pages above. Using cardstock, add “walls” to your truck so it has a back and two sides. Leave the top of the truck open. Gather crumpled up paper balls and practice tossing the trash into the truck. Keep score, or just play for fun!
Garbage Collector Thank You Cards
Turn any one of these coloring pages into a card to thank your local sanitation workers. Kids can color and write a note. Leave the card out on trash day as a nice surprise for your crew.
