Quick Tips and Tricks

Want your Easter egg coloring pages to really shine? Try experimenting with metallics. Whether you’re coloring in Procreate or using gel pens on paper, adding a bit of shimmer can give your Easter eggs a multidimensional effect.

I wanted to create an Easter egg with gold accents, so I used a metallic brush in Procreate to get the look.

To decide where to add extra design elements, I played around with adding curves, sunray style lines, bursts, scallops, zig zags, and a lot of other shapes. In the end, I stayed fairly true to the original design and highlighted the egg’s natural elements.

I wouldn’t say we’re at Fabergé levels of greatness (yet!) but it’s definitely fun to see what you can do with a little bit of (faux) gold.
